Brett: Marco?
Larry: Polo!
Brett: So this sign is
stunning, simply stunning. The long black spike that grounds this sign and
threatens to pierce the heavens, the small white triple A sign that counter
balances the bulk of the the left side. Then there's that crazy blue shape
that relies as much on it's ability to create negative space as it does it's
physical form. I just can't say enough good things about this sign.
Larry: I love this
place. I'd live here. That blue shape stuff is the best. I'm seeing a scrap
of paper from a rejected snowflake project. As a kid I fondly remember
making those every winter. It was tough to know what you were going to be
left with when you unfolded it...you know what I'm saying...don't you Brett?
Brett: Oh, yeah. Yes I
do, Larry. Sadly that blue form is what most of my snowflakes turned out
looking like. They never looked very snowy or flakey. So sad. You were
joking earlier how this was the birthplace of the blindfolded pool game
Marco Polo and the blue form definitely makes me think of the reflection of
the sun on the surface of water. You?
Larry: You bet. One
last thing...notice under the AAA sign...they clean the rooms weekly! |
